i would have to agree with skynet. i had a set of scorpion st s fitted 18 months ago done 13k and they dont seem to have worn down by much more than 1.5mm on the fronts and less on the rear. realy good in the snow cant say about off road though .

check out its history eg fully stamped service book pref with invoices and old mots they should verify milage good luck. and read lots of info on landyzone.

hi freelanderers just an update on the groaning doesnt seem to tighten up on full lock l and r forward or reverse, wheels do scrabble on full lock on a gravel surface ,think thats norm. tried turning lock to lock when stationary no groaning ,would it do it if air in pas system?

p a s level is fine. i do find the steering slightly stiffer than on my wifes td4. thanks treworgy

hi fellow freelanderers just wondering if any one has had this problem or knows what it might be,a strange groaning noise appears from underneath when i turn on full lock in both directions but only at low speed with no power on ie foot off throttle.its on my 05 td4 commercial with 133k look...

sounds to me like a clutch issue possibly duel mass fly wheel if fitted. had same sort of issue with my td4 while under warrenty .md replaced both hope it helps

yes you could do a swap but its a lot of time and money if i were you id try an buy a diesel freelander:)

hi phizza just to say iv just had a 60k done on my td4 by a good indipendant cost me £320 got a quote from a md at£480
