could towing a freelander do damage to the transmission ?

hi just to say i have a 05 which i have had from 6 months old it came with locking w nuts on alloys. so as standard spec it should have locking nuts, it would seem kennys95. tim

main stealer did my td4 at 30 psi .indipendent i use also 30 psi.i only have 15 inch wheels mind, could be different for larger sizes . tim

hi elvis i think the screws you are describing are the same size as the ones that are just below the number plate. you have to remove them to be able get to the front 2 fixing points on the sump pan.

its not you elvis,i think its down to poor workmanship.lack of attension to detail. when my hippo comes back from a service the oil is allways over filled by 2mm on the stick, pees me off. tim

just wanted to say, about 15 months ago i started filling my td4 with unleaded, by the time i realised i had put nearly 5 litres in. i decided to brim the tank with derv and drive it.when i got home i put a litre of 2t oil in the tank( remember reading it somewhere) have done 14k since, so far...

just sitting here wondering, does landrover offer an anti corrosion warranty on the freelander? its the only time i/ve seen rust on any freelander.tim

as far as i know all non air con freelanders do not have a pollen filter fitted windyg.

check out the cv joints on the front driveshafts.had those symtoms and turned out to be one on the inner joins. good luck hdman

check out the anti roll bar bushes, easy fix if it is them.
