2005 td4 commercial 139,210 miles apart from tyres and service items clutch and lp fuel pump at 92k and new vcu at 137k.bet there are some td4s out there around the 200k mark.tim

hi craig,just to ans your ?,micatallic paint as in alverstone red is amix of alluminium and mica particles in the base coat to give extra depth to the paintwork.phew.for what its worth the part no for it from lr is stc4325va. or if you wish rimmers stock it.tim.

if you are sure its blue smoke then it sounds like worn valve stem oil seals.if so not to much to worry about,unless your topping up with oil weekly.tim

just to add to my first reply,my wifes td4 with 50k,no smoke at all from cold start,hence my comment on worn injectors. tim.

hi just to say,the smoke you are getting on cold start is it blue or white in colour? if its blue then its oil.if its white and smells of diesel then its unburnt fuel. i have the white smoke on start up, tried all sorts of treatments including millers also injector cleaners,still smokes...

hi ian,just to say the smoke you are getting on start up,is it unburnt fuel? if so might be worth putting some injector cleaner in the tank and see if it helps.good luck.tim.

hi sue,just to say i had a prob with my ignition switch when i owned a 1.8, in my case the switch only needed a clean and all was fine.if in your case you need to replace the switch then maybe go for the new one ,might be best in the long run.good luck. tim.

hi jodsclass,might be worth putting front wheels on the rear,rears on front and going for a drive.also have you had the drive shaft cv joints checked out? tim.
