my nsr mech broke a week or so back and i replaced it with a fleabay one. i've still got the old one in the garage so will have a look tomorrow to see what bit broke... if the plastic bit is ok, ill send it to you.

L series flywheel part number: ERR6745L TD4 flywheel part number: STC4561 According to the Britcar website, the TD4 size is 11cm x 30cm x 30.5cm but the L series is 8cm x 39cm x 39cm so I guess they are different...

just taken a solid flywheel off my 2002 td4 and replaced it with a proper dmf (£300 from carparts4less) i replaced mine as the previous owner was cheap when they replaced the clutch and only did the flywheel and plate/cover. the slave cylinder wasnt done and started to squeal a little while...

Try putting a jump lead directly from the battery negative to a good clean point on the engine block. If it turns over OK, its a bad earth...

I had my seats out in the week and looking at the frame, I suppose it might be possible to cut a section & reweld out to make the base smaller. You may run into difficulties with the mechanism though... I would be wary of lowering the seat though as you need to think of other things like where...

how about putting a towbar on it, but not fitting the ball. (the landie, not the dog :)) Then make a step that uses the 2 towbar bolts?

I guess its a generic OBD2 reader and will read only the standard codes. Landrover have additional codes that are encrypted and can only be read by specialised (i.e. more expensive) readers like Rovacom, Nanocom, Hawkeye etc.

Is this your own diagnostic or the LR mechanics? I don't think the cheap'n'cheerful OBD2 readers will read that parameter as IIRC its a LR encrypted one. You need a proper LR reader for it (Nanocom, Rovacom, Hawkeye, T4 etc)
