to find out if diff lock is engaging put it in diff lock then drive while on full lock either way and you should hear clicking from front wheels but dont drive on full lock to long as you will wind up your axle:doh:

its been leaking heavly for about 3 days already put one of those 1 shot grease things in it as the grease that was in it is now all over driveway:eek:

hi got a 1996 defender 300tdi the swivel ball oil seal went on the passenger side front wheel so went to a garage asked if ok to drive until new parts arrive (they said yes) anyway coming back from recovering a boat the wheel in question started to make a grinding noise:eek: so slowed down...

hi ratty was correct got new set of tubes started no problem this morning (no help from glows) thanks alot defender 1996

ok will try that as my leak off pipes have been replaced by a cowboy before i got it and it is has just got loose rubber tube repairs thanks for advice
