I think for that money you could pick up a tidy 110 that’s direct release. Then register is and pay someone to fit a Tdi. That’s what I did.

And these are 305 on the 110 that I still have. Running the deeper offset wheel.

These are 285 75 on my td5 110. 8” wheel but if I remember right they were a -35 offset

I’ve run 235 85, 265 75, 285 75, 305 70 and now 315 75 16 on my defenders over the years. 285 75 looked great on 8” rims. They filled the standard arches nicely and looked slightly aggressive. They are a good compromise I think. Although I do love my 315 75 muds on right now

I used to have 305 70 16 on a 16x10 et-35 rim before I sized up. I think an 8” rim is too narrow. On 16x10 et -35 I needed wheel arch extensions. You may get away with it on those wheels but without a suspension lift you will lose articulation whilst off road.

Yeah. I’ll make it work but it’s probably going to be a few months before I try when the weather improves.

I also found with my longer home made bikini that I had a few years back that it flaps around a lot when driving.

I find even with a full length soft top that if you leave the back open and drive at speed in the rain then the spray still gets you a little. It’s ok though. My skin is waterproof lol.

Perfect weather for a soft top lol. Who fits one in the winter lol. Also just ordered a bikini top again for it. Exmoor have them listed on eBay at a reduced price if anyone is interested.
