    Defender celebration factory tour

If you can spare a few £, it's a great experience. So glad that I've done it. They're working overtime (quite literally) to build enough Defenders for this last year of production. Everybody realised they suddenly want one! It's such a labour intensive process - you can see why they're so...

I think that's ridiculous, you're getting over 3 hours of entertainment. That's less than half a tank of diesel these days

    Defender celebration factory tour

Hi all, I was lucky enough to take the Defender celebration factory tour on Monday. If anyone is thinking of doing it - I emplore you to go! I don't know if there are still spaces to book. As we all know, it won't be around for ever! Travelled there in my dad's Defender - the journey...

Richard Hammond driving landy up a dam

It was nice they did a tribute, but as with most Top Gear stuff - I would have liked a bit more detail. Although I get that most people just want the entertainment. I was talking to someone at work who said 'did you see that tribute to a winch on top gear last night?' He makes a good point -...

    Discovery Sport

Me too - don't like keeping them clean though. My car is black and looked excellent before I went to work today. This evening it looks like I never cleaned it :D

    Discovery Sport

I went to see one a few months ago where they park one up in a shopping centre for you to look at. It was lovely, looked much better in the metal than the pictures. The clever rear two seats were good. Hope you enjoy it :D Colour choice of the two given would be stone as I reckon white...

    Epics new vehicle

Yeah it just goes to show the potential of them, it's a very heavy car too.

 it's a good point. The electricity isn't exactly cleanly generated

    Epics new vehicle

It's nice to see people taking up electric cars. Personally I don't have a need for one as I do a lot of motorway and country roads but I do like the idea of quiet motoring. The Leaf is much cheaper than I realised - I bet if (like yourself) you do a lot of city driving - particularly London...

    What to get help

It's definitely worth checking you can fit in one. Disco 1 - only ones with electric seats have height adjustment (those with actual head rests rather than the hoops). Although I would say they don't go particularly low regardless. Mine has electric seats, I'm a short arse (5'7"), have it...

    Strangerover

I think I saw the same discussion on the Discovery owners facebook page. I hadn't come across it before either. Do have to admit the Orange one with a disco front end posted above does look awesome :D

    Flat Paint?

Why didn't I think of that - ever since I had the windscreen replaced on my Golf it's been covered in some weird film of something that makes the wipers leave trails after them. I've got a meguiars clay bar waiting in the garage :D

Centre Console Discovery 1 300TDI (Grey)

Shame, if I didn't need the space I'd hang on to it for you Although if someone does want to pick it up and keep it for you they are more than welcome!

Are early D2 lights much of an upgrade?

It's some sort of sealant, warm them carefully and they'll come apart. You can seal them back up with silicone. You can't use primer unless it's black as it shows through the glass! I used black aerosol inside and black Hammerite on the outside (round the outer rim) No issues in 6...

Are early D2 lights much of an upgrade?

I may have done this  Split my 300 lights and painted. Would have been easier to get TD5 ones though.
