    Oil out of centre hub

LOL thanks Brown, will indeed resist the temptation to pump grease into my brake nipple. Have sussed rear axle oil filling/draining nuts on the rear hub, will go for that instead. Does it have to be API GL5 90EP? Have also sussed the breather pipe thing that runs from the top of the axle up...

    Oil out of centre hub

Will do, how do I go about replacing the oil/grease that has already leaked out? Is this just packed in round the bearings or does it get pumped in through that bleed nipple which is on the rear of the hub?

    Good after-market exhaust

Well, Andy at Famous Four is quoting £71 plus VAT for a whole system, so that'll do me. Stainless wouldn't look right on a RAF truck. Any advice on fitting? Do I need some instant gasket stuff for all the joints etc?

    Identifying leaks!

OK, before we start, I know all the ones about they are all supposed to do that and it's just them marking their territory! I have an ex-RAF 2.5 litre diesel N/A 90 rag top and it loves to drip. The black oil I know is engine and is possibly from the sump gasket or the drain plug. I did put...

    Oil out of centre hub

Hi guys, I have my ex-RAF 2.5 90 and there is a nice oily mess coming out of the centre of the rear nearside wheel hub. I'm going to order one of the the new black rubber caps, but a mate at work is telling me that 1. I don't need to actually take the wheel off, and that 2. there is just...

    Good after-market exhaust

The old mid box has NTC4615 on it. If I'm just replacing this part should I replace the olives and bolts either side, and will it require paste/gasket?

    Good after-market exhaust

Hi guys I've got an ex-RAF 1987 2.5 diesel 90 and this morning on the way into work the exhaust decided to drop off. It's snapped just after (towards the rear) the large oval mid box. Don't know if a gum gum bandage is gonna quite do it. Got it held up with a nice wee bit of wire for the...

    Spongy Clutch Pedal!

Hi guys, I've got an ex-RAF H reg 90 2.5 diesel. It runs lovely, but just recently I've noticed the clutch pedal seems a bit soft for the initial travel and then a bit spongy for the rest. Is this an indicator for something needing tightened or is something about to go? Cheers

    Where's the Fog Light Switch!!!

Fantastic guys, got it. It's the big black flicky switch on the lower right of the steering column that I couldn't see at 6am this morning cause it was dark and there's no internal. Doh!!! Muppet. While I'm on about switches, I've got 3 on the lower right dash. One is a big red knob...

    Where's the Fog Light Switch!!!

I'm feeling really blonde this morning. Had my ex-mod Landy 90 in for it's MOT yesterday. Jumped in this morning and the rear fog lights are on, along with the orange warning light on the dash. Obviously from the guy testing it. And can I figure out how to turn the buggers off? Nah. Any guidance...

    Heater Sticker?

Another quick wee question guys, I'm after th sticker which goes on the right hand side of the dash of my ex-RAF 1991 C Reg 90 rag top. The one with the red and blue triangles for the heater controls. Been searching the sites and the ones I'm finding are daft price like £16. Any help would be...

Can I use Wynn's Engine Stop Leak to stop Gearbox Oil Leak

Hi guys. I've got an ex-RAF 90, 1991 C Reg 2.5 litre diesel, manual gearbox. It's got a persistent very slight leak of red oil from the gearbox housing. It doesn't warrant stripping it down for major work etc, but my brother who lives out in Canada and used to be a mech in the REME said to stick...
