Right ,I have thrown in the towel on this one ,the car is going in to a Land Rover specialist on Saturday morning ,hate to be beatin on this type of thing but its doing my head in so it has to be done Many thanks to those who gave advise on this in the past.

Are these LEAK OFF PIPES easy to see ,I have never done this before ,are they under the long black plastic cover on the top of the engine ? anyone got any pictures.

After a few days of monitoring it does not smoke on tickover ,my fault (****) but after cleaning the K&N filter and some Redex injector cleaner it seems to be alot better but I shall still be keeping a look out.

Just got back from Halfords with the K&N recharger kit ,will do it tomorrow , thanks again.

The K&N filter on our 2.5 diesel is really dirty, I have no idea how old it is ,my question is can you clean them? I thought I saw it somewhere that you could, but I might be wrong . If you can what can you clean them with , I have done a search on the forum for the answers but there appears to...

What is the auto box like with the 2.5 diesel ,as we have a 2.5 dse MANUAL just wondered what it is like.

If you remove the lid off the BeCM is there likely to be any horrible surprises like springs etc flying off in all directions or is it all very safe to do so ,I have a problem which might lead to popping the lid off. Cheers.

It has a K&N filter in at the moment ,it was in when we bought the car, do not know how long its been in .

Just noticed our 2.5dse smokes abit ,a small amount on tick over ,alot when you accellerate hard and hardly at all when cruising . Is this fairly normal ? By the way it has a plug in chip fitted .

Hi Wills , I have just checked for 12 volts on connector C625 pin 11 and there is NO 12VOLTS on the BECM. Thanks ,Waiting for answer holding breath!!

Two new pollen filters and some sillicone grease around the covers . Thanks for all yor help .

Wills, Just had a look and the bulb in the ash tray is good ,there is 12volts on the cigar lighter BUT no power on the lead to the ash tray bulb. Cheers.

Problem solved I hope ,just removed pollen filter and the housing has water at the bottom good thing in away cos the filter is well over due to be changed ,so 2 new filters and so sealant jobs a goodun!!. Thanks everyboby for your tips on this one.Cheers.
