Well the AA man has been and has got it running by using EKA code ,he then tried to sync both key fobs we have but it will not start just comes up with "engine disabled press remote "message ,any suggestions as to what the problem could be . Cheers.

Hi all, Just went to move the wifes p38 and it would not start so tryed to resync the key fob as per hand book with no joy the key fob seems ok cos there is a nive red light when buttons are pressed ,now the dash reads KEY CODE LOCKOUT what does that actually mean and how can I get in and start...

When I say housing I mean the hole where the pollen filter sits had water at the bottom ,I have not checked the plastic gulley ,will check later . cheers for the reply.

Front passenger footwell is getting wet when it rains ,checked out pollen filter housing and it was wet ,so I cleaned it up and used loads of silicone grease on the cover of the pollen filter housing ,but it leaked again the next time it rained ,anyone got any ideas where it could be coming from...

Got all my bits from euro car parts cos they are all bmw bits if you like ,6 glow plugs (bosch) 6 flat gaskets all came to about £60 if memory serves .

Alan H, Went out today ,reset the MPG after a round trip of about 70-80 miles the readout was average MPG 29.8 . The figure of 22-23MPG was around town like the school run etc.. so would you say its running ok or needs further investigation.

Hi Rodent, The only tool I had to buy was a long reach 12mm socket to remove the glow plugs , you just have to be careful when undoing the 12 nuts on the inlet manifold not to drop any ,also 6 new inlet manifold gaskets is well worth getting hold of and replacing while it is all apart . It was...

Thats correct ,there is a hole in the air intake ducting but it has a blank/bung stuffed in it . the car seems to run fine at the moment ,any reasons why this this valve would be missing and would it drive better with this valve fitted ?

Hi ,On my 2.5 dse 1996 there is a hole 1 inch dia on the left side front of the rocker cover looking from the front which when the engine is running chucks out fumes and has made a horrible mess of engine ,should there be anything in the hole.? Cheers.
