Bit of a strange one- My mum took her 90 into get some shopping earlier. When she came out, the 90 wouldn't start and the dash lights are on now- even without the key in. Wont crank over and showed no signs at all of failing. Any ideas??? Is a 90 300TDi 1999

before farting about with the head gasket- check your injectors. If they are bunged up, the fuel wont atomise properly and will be a sod to get detonation. My old S3 did this always and was fine after i fitted some better injectors. They are an arse to get out though!! Be worth fitting your...

I cant get any gear- i had to double de-clutch 4th when it was working! Wasn't really bothered about that though at the time. I can have engine running and get any gear i want- it just wont move when i do!! Grrrrrr

Hi- it is worth getting something with a good interior- i.e. roof lining and good door seals. A 300 or a 200 TDi with new injectors, new glow plugs and an uprated heater (aluminium) which makes the whole experience much better. As for protecting the engine, you can always put a far higher mix...

i had this problem with mine too!- i have fitted a TIM gauge which comes with the sender unit and gives an actual temperature in numbers. Very easy to fit and well worth it. cost about 20 quid all in
