top of the barrel worked for me, hold it on various places while putting blank key and trying it, but as teddywood1 says safer to buy a "proper" key as soon as.

you could of course buy a couple of keys off ebay for about £6 each and put the chip from your original key on the ignition barrel and the blank keys will both work, a remote will have to be coded in to the car though.

don't forget your matching spare wheel tyre or you could be tempting fate with the god of VCU

yes to the above, sealed mine up and forgot about it....more trouble than they are worth, if you want air drop the back window.

though thinking about it, the housing dissipates quite a bit of heat being aluminium.

what happens if it fails a second time ????

or put one in the top hose, preferably in a proper ali housing like I did, works great. and cheaper (much) also looks the dogs .

had my aluminium housing fitted in my top hose in my manual for ages and works great but then I don't tow anything.

think that they are all in one mick, you could try a breakers yard maybe. my front ones are bad and the back ones are slightly bubbled, so might need to save or look for a breakers.

hi I assume that its a 5 door you have, Seal-Rear door glass run channel, outer CGE000200 (right hand), CGE000210 (Left Hand), not cheap though. google seal glass channel outer.

I only had 1 key and one fob, bought two blank keys and another fob then fixed the original key to the barrel, so now have 2 keys and 2 fobs to use, fobs have been coded to the car. mind you if anyone could get in to the car they would surely have to have the same profile cut key as mine, or am...

point taken guys, will get a "proper" key soon as.
