thats the plan mate fluid change first to see how it goes. but resistance values of the sensors i wouldnt know there to start with that one :(

td4 is roughly the same mate. mines does lock up about 3 seconds after the change but in that 3 seconds the revs go up two about 2500 then once locked up sit a 2100. roughly 50 mph

mines is the same mate but once warm it changes smooth. i think they are all a bit like this when cold. my concern is the lock up in 4th and 5th so fluid change is a good starting point in any case

yes mate 45kmh is 30 mph this would be the change from 3rd to 4th ?

am going for the full flush mate shes on 103000 miles and i doubt the atf has ever been changed

the gibbons method would empty about 90% of the fluld mabe even more as your using the atf pump in the auto box to pump it out

nice one mate am just not convinced that a autobox thats nearly 20 years old need this landrover stuff at nearly £15 a liter theres far better oils out there these days

is that the carlube atf-u that u used in your td4 mate ? ive been looking at this stuff on ebay but no mention of it being n402

The fbh heats up the coolant faster on the cold days if u have one there will be a little exuhaust under the front bumper at the passanger side

every time i try looking up something in the FAQ mate i can never find what am looking for. i must be doing something wrong ? i have read alot of posts on the fluid change of these boxes in regards to taking out the wrong bolt/ over filling / under filling etc. what else could possably wrong :)
