We get a lot in to fix, usually much larger areas than that. Once you've fixed it, clean the chassis down and protect it. We tend to get customers wanting protection doing after they get problems as most don't realise D2s can suffer from the dreaded rot worm

To take the whole thing off and replace it with non ACE parts we charge about £460 ish, we have one in this week to do, that includes parts and fitting, we usually remove it one day and refit the next it's just easier. We don't/won't use Britpart stuff, but I think you can do it slightly cheaper...

The other half has just done ours at work and he says it's probably possible if youve got small hands to do it with the tank in place. But he took our tank out so that he could waxoyl the chassis and boot floor. The tank is fairly easy to remove apparently.
