    200di conversion

If you want to use proper biodiesel, then you just need a normal diesel engine conversion(200 ro 300TDI best, but 2 1/4 or 2.5D's would run too, albeit with some risk to elderly Lucas pump seals). If you want to use veg oil (either new or well filtered/dewatered waste) you will need to do a...

    200di conversion

Reg, and poss a receipt from seller. Or a validating letter/invoice from a selling/fitting garage etc etc. Think they're just trying to reduce the problem of defenders etc being nicked for engine conversions. Mark

Yes Engine changes are permitted. However you may have to give evidence of where the engine has come from. Mark

300TDI exhaust manifolds fit a 200 nicely and allow use of a straight downpipe, instead of the convoluted route needed to get off a 200 manifold. Mark

    200di conversion

I've also seen conversions using a standard series 2 rad and using an external aftermarket oil cooler. Looked easy, and nowhere as awkward as a NATO oil cooler (which needs to go infront of rad). Mark

    200di conversion

Attraction for TDI for me is that it can run on Veg oil/filtered waste oil or biodiesel without significant modification. Therefore even if I only get 25 mpg, the real mpg for me (on biodiesel) is around 250mpg, as my bio is made from free waste oil. I only pay for chemicals/electric to...

    Diesel Leak ..help

Take the washers out and heat them with a blowtorch to anneal (soften) them. Let them cool slowly. Then put them back in. If that doesn't sort it, stick a bit of silicone gasket compound on either side of the washers before you bolt it up. Easy!!

    Bio

Biodiesel yes. Biofuels - god know's they can be anything. Not a good route unless you're running a tough old TDI Mark

    Diesel Leak ..help

lots of pumps come up on Ebay cheap enough, but try and locate the problem. Likely its just a seal leaking, which would only cost a couple of beer tokens. Mark

    Fuel additives by LR stealers

That's probably Adblue (or Mercedes equivalent) basically its just a urea (**** - yes thats right) based fluid that is used to regenerate the DPF. Used in trucks too. DPF's block up on all vehicles though, they are a way of reducing emissions on otherwise old engine technology. Work great...

    200/300tdi injection system cleaning

Got a good reputation that stuff. Best bet is to fill your fuel filter with it, and have bugger all diesel in you're tank, so when it returns to your tank, it doesn't dillute much. Then take for a "italian tuneup" only topping up tank if you run dry. Biodiesel is also very good at...
