done a search and this sort bof fault seems to pop up with the mention of a snapped band within the box anyone care to add?

hi guys my a/t p38 lost drive today halfway home like a slipping clutch on a manual is the only way can describe. it will how ever reverse,all gears select but no drive.and the gearbox fault is displayed on dash.the aa man said could be a sticking valve inside the box anyone? anyways of diagnosing?

hi can some one put up detail's on replacing a HG on a p38 4.0 p-reg,i have done HG before just after torque settings and order for the head and detail's on the timing,and timing chain as never done a chain before cheer's. not sure if will be needing it just incase,going to see how get ontoday.

hmm well i have just checked water level as when i did earlyer i ended up wearing most of it(yes it did burn)lol suffering slowly trying to catch out the presurized coolant was a bad idea,so i topped up ran roadtested left to settle and now topped up took back out about 1mile and all seem's ok...

does that mean it was a hg you had fail?

are the standard radios in p38's coded?

coming home today in my p38 4.0 the temp gauge crept up not into the red but i did put the heater's on full to circulate the system,also the heater's was on warm but kept going cold is this common/just a p38 thing? i was thinking HG but no sign's of water & oil mixing can't say if there was...

well that how got damaged cleaning it just went and straighted it out and the book has not returned maydo after driving.i tried the a/c as never had it on and the light to say its on flashes what does this mean?

if that got damaged(poked/proded) would that cause the open book symbol on the climate display?

spoke to tinley tech and found manual telling me wrong coil pack selected correct one and rpm is now correct. the computer has a small scale that shows its closer to TOO BIG than it is to CORRECT,tinley tec say's ignore this as the car changes over to gas smooth and has no running problem's. so...
