Can only repeat what's been said keep your spanners to hand, had few probs with mine but always made it home. My s3 cost 1500 and is pretty good haven't found any rust that's worth talking about everything else is easily fixed or replaced. Shop around there are good ones about. Enjoy.

Use to have a black evo 1 and spent many hours polishing, very hard work but worth every hour. Used maguires 3 step challenge and had some good results

Finally finished painting new house, should be in mid next week. Just garage to kit out now:D

I ain't to good with this magic voodoo stuff we call electric but sounds like an earthing problem. Possibly wires worn through and arking across. Have you fitted any thing new recently?

Was talking to a friend of a friend today, who has ran many land rovers over the years, about fitting a snorkel. He says he don't bother with snorkels he just runs the in take through the bulkhead into the cab and uses the glove box as a air box. This just don't sound quite right to me...

Well after being parked up for a week after pay and play, trying to sort carb issues. Finally got to drive her again. The normal spine shattering ride felt a little softer and had a little more bounce. 1 snapped leaf spring on back and 1 snapped shock in front:mad: Did enjoy me self though :D

My s3 is my only motor, and no overdrive. Hate driving normal cars. How on earth do you get that sort of mpg? If this is Evan nearly achievable I got some work to do. 75-80 mph:eek: really don't know what would escape first diff, gearbox or pistons.
