    heated seats

Do your seats have heating elements in them? Just it might not if the wirings not there, otherwise a fused switch operating a relay to control the heating element should work,

Have I been driving 2wd for too long????

I've tried all that before works with some of them, others require a bit more persuasion :D. I normally get a pry bar in between the bolt head and uj, I don't hit the uj but the heat won't do it good, (I keep the vcu cool with water though) but aye have seen a couple where they needed heat.

Have I been driving 2wd for too long????

If there's the droning noise I would suspect the carrier bearings like you're thinking, but other things to check, are the ujs alright, heat might have been used to separate the props and vcu which could damage the ujs. Also it Isn't summit daft like the prop been nipped in a vice to work on...

My FL1 TD4 does not like the rain.. help!

Have a look at the turbo boost solenoid and filter, mine started playing up after playing in some puddles and when I looked at the filter it was fairly damp

Loss of power when driving, slows to a hault, doesnt stall and engine still revs.

I know plenty like that, the landys been more faithful though, likes it dirty too

    Engine Bay Under Tray

You might wanna look at other underside protection as well if you're needing a sump guard, admittedly though the sumps the most important and first thing to protect

Loss of power when driving, slows to a hault, doesnt stall and engine still revs.

You hadn't been admiring another car had you, the landys get jealous easily, just treat it with love and care, occasionally tell it how wonderful it is and spend lots of time and money on it and it'll be fine.;)

    Td4 missing when warm

I had a problem where the combustion gases were blowing past the copper washer, it was a weird fault as it gave an injector type rough running but if u switched it off and on again it was fine, what was happening was all the **** that had blown up was nippping the injector, took ages to clean...

Td4 wiring harness for cruise control

I've had a look into this myself, I found my manual didn't have the wiring, however with the kit mentioned above I imagine it could be made to work using factory buttons/switcjes ,I'm very tempted to fit it to my own but can't justify the cost. Would love it though.

What have you done to your Freelander today

You got a green outline of an undertray on your wall now? :p

    starting up lumpy

Could be an injector on the way out, try a leak off test and see if it shows anything.

    Thinking of a Freelander 2

I work at an independent land rover garage and its a similar story, the f2 is definately the most reliable, most we see just for services, the problems we have seen however are the handbrake linkages seize up, using them often and lubricating them thought the inspection hole at services cures...

    lighting

Hello. Fraud I don't know owt about the hids but I believe britpart do the rings for around the headlights in stainless steel, they'll be expensive but last though.

Faulty fuel gauge/phenominal deisel thirst/all Freelander guages lie?!

Must be the country roads. Mines standard and is lucky to get 30 mpg, going to look into a Ron box to help though.

    Blinking Battery light

Wasn't after driving through deep puddles was it, my lights dim after that with the water making the belt slip. Check the voltage at the battery with the engine running should be nearly 14 volts I think.
