did mine recently, use wd every day before kit arrives. mine took about 20 mins to take off and put new kit on, mine came off very easy! don,t know if i was lucky? all i did was keep applying wd 40 every day..... noticed the difference as soon as i took it for a spin.... engine...

nucleus, your problem sounds just like mine at the moment. was the lenght of pipe straight from the tank to the lift pump? can you remember what length it was/ size pipe? or did you put a non return valve in too? what about the sedimeter ? has this been by passed? what about the pupply pipe...

done it !!!!! got rig of egr value and replaced top hose like a new car, sounds and feels a lot better seems more responsive loads of black liquidy like cream crap in old hose. lookforward to saving money now from improved mpg now engine has new lease of life. only took 20 mins...

had similar problem many years ago on mk 2 escort, was found to be faulty wire. just check your wiring first, may have snagged something with out knowing when you were stuck or being recovered..... got nothing to loose hope this may help
