If you cut the chassis down, that is a major modification and you will require it SVA tested and will almost certainly end up on a Q plate. HTH

Well you are destroying a lightweight. The chassis is gone, that means the ID is gone unless you rebuild on a new, unused, made to spec replacement chassis. All you are doing is bolting a few panels onto a different vehicle. Why not just do it properly and remake the lightweight, retain its ID...

I just bought some of the rubbers from Dunsfold - £5 each inc VAT. Much easier ion the wallet and very good quality. The mount plate bolts are 1/2" BSF at 16 tpi. Hope this helps.

So Andy, you have the reel on the floor by the seatbox, across to the stalk and then up to a bracket near the roof? If so, that should be fine I think but obviously with it terminating on the seat belt bar. Andy, i think the part number for the seat belt bar is MRC7354 HTH

Dunt need longer shackles for 265/75R15.

You ought to give it it's 2nd coat first. They will only say do that and then come back to us. It may be great with a 2nd coat. J
