what he ^^^ said, deffo go with a custom built re-map makes sure they dyno the disco before and after these "we come to you" lads just dump a generic file on your ECU and vanish.

Just bought the cruise control kit from fleabay, just wondering if anyone else has added one of these kits to their TD5 which didn't have it as standard.

Eyup lads Started to get the things I think I need on hand in the boot re: tow rope/tow bar jump leads etc, but having had a gander on ebay I cant find any boot tidy type things which tie to the rear seats etc. Anyone know of any of makes for me to search for on ebay. cheers. Harv

halfrauds didn't have the smaller Bulbs when i visited them though the bigger ones they had stock. Ended up going to LR dealer who then had no stock so pointed me to an independent 4x4 dealer who had some £2.25 each.

I fitted a full set of 18" same design not sure what they came off, but they came with a collar spacer as the centre hub was smaller on the disco2 TD5, also they are the slimmer nuts with a flat washer. sounds like your 17" wheels will be the same.

My 03 TD5 came with 16" since fitted some 18" with 255/55/18 and have noticed no difference to ride quality better at cornering if anything. 18" tyres are a wee bit more expensive but, I managed to get a set of five brand new from ebay for £240 delivered fullrun tyres too :D.

Don't ring any bells, but tbh We used to meet that many people it's possible. My sister met a guy on the CB and they are still together now 17 years later. I'd get another but the mrs would kill me as it caused some right old ding dongs with people winding each other up.

Not been on the CB for years, living in Leeds and right next to Seacroft there was plenty of numpty's, but from what I do remember we had some good laughs driving about and meeting various people.

Recently had my Disco TD5 remapped, and its a very noticeable difference. As above not sure of the MPG as I'm heavy footed :D But a lot more power is available now. Oh one thing if you haven't already, do the EGR capping and de-cat before the remap to get the very best results.

Mileage is quiet high for a 03 plate bought it with 165k on the clock but the service book and pile of receipts of work carried out eased my mind.

Just plugged straight across as mines got the standard plugs all cars have now. I did have it in a Audi A4 before and that didnt like the plugs due to the Audi having some gay amplifier for the rear speakers, so i just wired in 2 new pairs to the rear doors. Looking at getting the reverse...

5k is a bit steep for a 99 plate, I paid 5200 for a 03 plate which apart from a high pressure power steering hose which cost £450 to replace its been mint.
