Clutch has started to slip when in 4th 5th gear more noticeable when you give it some pasty. I've been quoted £650 for a new clutch and flywheel (apparently it would be best to change out the flywheel at the same time?) is this a decent price and would you swap out the flywheel even if its not...

Are these not just a resistor? get some cleaning buds and alcohol you will be surprised how dirty they are and so reduces the sensitivity of them giving the ecu crap readings.

I've a TD5 D2 with over 170k on the clock and had it remapped, pulls like a train now. Although I would recommend you have it remapped at a garage who dyno the car first then again after the remap so they can see "live" what's going on and that the revs are limited a bit.

I've a 2003 facelift model 170,000 on clock paid £5,200 and drives and pulls like a train. Well looked after they will last forever, just have to put up with the niggles which come with any landrover and each model has it own problems but once addressed re: leaky roofs then its happy days.

Do what I did, get a stainless exhaust inc de-cat, you will notice a vast improvement in power and smooth acceleration. cost me £400 but in the long run considering cats are £150+ its cheaper and the exhaust is guaranteed for the life of the car.

There's an approved bio-diesel seller in Bradford, but after recently contacting them before going to full up, the guy told me they don't sell it until the warmer months as it causes problems.
