    Pollen Filter ( F.Y.I. )

Changed my pollen filter on Thursday, managed to get a genuine parts one for a fiver on the 'bay. :D +1 on the 4 fixing screws, you'll need a thin walled 6mm socket, I swapped them for some same sized pan-head self tappers.

    smoke

I'm sure others will add to this thread but I'd start with checking all of your intercooler hoses for splits, especially the one on the left (as you look at the engine) as it tends to rub on one of the brackets as I found out last week!

    Tyres - 225x55 17's

Hi Are you looking to sell as a job-lot or would you consider splitting them? Particularly interested in the Michelin & the 2 Yoko's, also what kind of price do you have in mind? Cheers

when i switch engine off ?

Sounds very much like the FBH (Fuel Burning Heater), if the temperature is low enough this will kick in to improve heater warm up time, it will sometimes continue to run for a few minutes after you switch off. I'm sure someone will explain it better but I'm on my mobile at the moment. HTH

What tyres do you have on your freelander

I've currently got 17" alloys but would like to downsize but that's a whole other thread!

What tyres do you have on your freelander

I have have Latitudes on the rear at the moment and the fronts are getting near to needing renewing, I was going to get a pair of Latitudes for the front until I saw the price! Cheapest I can find so far is £171.00 each  anyone found a better (fitted) price for these anywhere yet?

    brake drum life span

Wandering slightly off the OP but I take it that the rear drums can be rubbed down and painted with heat resistant paint without any problems? My drums are looking a little rusty and scabby so thought this would both tidy them up and prolong the life of them.

    Evening all

How do I'm new to LZ but not Land Rovers or forums so my username may be familiar to some. I've had Defenders & Disco's and sold my last D2 a few months back; I've recently bought a Freelander Td4 as my daily driver so I guess I'll be frequenting that particular board more than the others...
