Think you need to find either a new garage who know how to test an older vehicle or a better tester in the same garage! It is not a new car so a lot of the stuff they should do does not qualify!

Thought as much! Another question, on the replacement part like this one DUMB IRON FRONT CHASSIS R/H. 1958-84 - JC100R - Land Rover Parts & Range Rover Parts does it fit over the chassis like a socket? Just guessing this from the picture obviously! John.

Today I found a massive crack :doh: in the chassis at the drivers dumb iron, only the top of the chassis is holding it together! Picture is attached. The question is would it be acceptable to plate this as that means I can get it done quickly and back on the road or should I replace? All advice...

Stupid question alert! Is there an easy way to tell which you have without getting the spanners out? It's a 1965 S2a, but who knows what parts are still there from new! I did a search but only got the 24 Vs 10 strength so either not asked before or my search skills are pants! John.
