    U bolt replacement parts question

Thanks for the reply, I just thought they would be different due to not having a massive amount of leaves in the spring to clamp. John

Series 2a Station Wagon (sale possible)

Regards the registration value the vehicle needs to have an MOT to transfer the number from it. Realistacally it is a project and would go for project money, there are many on ebay for a few hundred pounds needing work. I don't think it will make you rich! John

    U bolt replacement parts question

My 2a has Parabolic springs and when it went for MOT the U bolts were not clamping on the axle fully as the bolt had run out of thread. The question is where can I get U bolts that will fit? I was goint to add a thicker washer but the nuts are reluctant to move and I would rather not completely...

    Seat belt issue Ideas please

Put 'seat belt extender' in ebay and there are loads! Usually for fitting round a baby car seat. Not sure if there is a better place to mount the belt so you don't need the extender though. John

    A friend indeed!

If it is the transmission oil then it is EP90 in mine S2a. It is just as described, getting covered in the horrible smelling stuff! If it has not been serviced since he got it I would be doing all the fluids! The other way to do it is get him to do all the work getting dirty and smelly and call...

help what taxation class is my landy ???

It won't be on historic class as it has not been registered in that time, If it qualifies as tax free (dont know what info you got from Gaydon) then you have to change it at a dvla office from PLG which is what it is to historic. You can get it all done at the DVLA office, there is one round...

    hub leak

The end of the hub with the six bolts in, there is a grub screw inbetween two of the bolts, or at least there is on mine. Wayne, you don't touch this, turn the steering full lock and stick your head behind and you will see at the bottom of the rear of the hub a stopper plug (usually has a...

    hub leak

If it is the standard hubs ignore the grub screw type thing. If leaking then you will need to sort that, usually just a felt washer. For oil it is EP90 in the swivels and there is a drain plug and a filling plug on the back of the hub, obviously fill until it starts to come out of the fill plug...

The lathe is a hobby item. Can they really 'make' to decorate? How long have you been there? I would have a word with citizen advice, they might be able to advise you and possibly help with a letter that will slow things down. Also a letter from you doctors, both yours and Dorris, about...

'now going to be thick and fast', 'NOW' Have you been holding out on us then;) If it looks presentable, which should be very soon, then just park it on the drive with a cover over it (to protect it because it is a classic) then if they come back and look they cannot remove the cover, private...
