dunno about welding, the difflock drain plug is brass/brass coated for a start :-/ fanatic...level ground is a long way from me 'ouse...not sure the people 1/2 mile down the road would like me changing it outside their house! i got recovery with direct line...doubt theyll recover it round me...

basically the male thread of the sump plug has taken the female thread of the sump with it and separated/split it from the sump casing...i was particularly careful to torque it correctly contrary to Gmans comments! It gave the torque setting on the Difflock packaging...which is the same as on...

anyone know if a td5 sump will come off if i remove the gearbox crossmember but dont jack it up? its got a 2" lift... I cant jack it up as its on a 20 degree side slope & cant start it to move it as the sump plug is a gonner :( cheers ears

i ripped out my cd changer & put my inverter there...everytime i turn it on the srs light comes on when i knock the wiring in the yellow tubing...

mine does the same...think its a dodge connection under the drivers seat..goes out though...i just ignore it & hope it doesnt come on during an mot!

other prob is I cant jack the ****er up...its outside me house on a big slope!

the sump thread is still attached to the plug thread, so the whole thing spins & has dumped 6 litres of oil out...EVERYWHERE

Can anyone tell me if the 2 sumps are interchangeable please? (sheered sump plug....ps it was fitting Difflock's Drain Plug that did it...standard torque is way too tight for it) :mad: cheers guys

When turning left I have a drone which is shouting at me right hand hub assembly :doh::doh: (£££'s & a humdinger torque wrench) Anyone have any other ideas before I bite the bullet ?

I will be at some point replacing the lower door frame with repair sections. On all of my doors I have so much missing I dont know what Ill need to get it near enough right in relation to the check rods. :mad: I have the early type (front ones pictured) which simply bolt one end to the body...

Has anyone ever found these items to buy other than those that include the B/C posts that are £300 upwards? I need to replace them on the 110...as most of them are missing through rust... Otherwise Ill fab some up myself cheers foss

okay...all the Landiesive had have had the need for you to move forward or backward for the light to come on / go off indicating engaged/disengaged...ive never had a landy where lock is engaged whilst not moving... if all 4 wheels need to be moving at the same speed to engage then how exactly...
