Thanks for the follow-up - I did wonder if it was the rain water gently dripping into the footwells that sets the alarm off, but it also goes off when it's dry. I think it's a good reason to finally replace the bulb in the floodlight that overlooks it, and get the alarm sensor checked sooner...
