Max Load in back of freelander?

Mine is registered at a maximum load of 500kg. So I'd put it in a trailer as well...

    1.8 petrol engine mods

So, OP doesn't want a diesel, and the 1.8 petrol isn't as reliable as it should be. That leaves one option... The V6...

    Two into One ?

I'm not sure it would fit. But even if it did, you'd need to make sure the drivetrain can handle the extra power the new engine produces. Also, you might want to upgrade the brakes to handle the extra weight and power as well. And the new diesel from the Freelander 2 is made by the french (PSA...

Front Bumper removal (how to loosen the rusty screws)

I've had another go at it, but I guess my hands are just to big to get there. So back to the front bumper removal. I've got some screw extractors, so if everything else fails, that'll solve it...

    Discs and pads pre 2000

I've had the same idea of upgrading to the post 2000 disk brakes. But they wouldn't fit my 16' rims and you'd need to replace the entire system (master cylinder etc) as well.

Front Bumper removal (how to loosen the rusty screws)

I've tried pliers, but they're completely round, so it's very hard to grap them. @c13tay: Trust me, I've tried. But I can't get to the bottom screw of the unit. According to my manual I need to remove the front bumper first. Unless you've got some kind of trick...

good sites to order lr parts from

I've ordered some stuff from Rimmer Bros. They seem to have a lot (and are willing to ship it across europe). I've also bought stuff from Island 4x4. They are relatively cheap, but don't have that much stuff. Shipping was also cheap there...

Front Bumper removal (how to loosen the rusty screws)

Hi, I've been trying to remove the front bumper to replace one the headlight units. But I'm stuck with a couple of rusty screws. They're the ones that connect the front bumper with the wheelarch protection. So it's all soft plastic, so applying force to them is really hard. I've thought about...

    Vibration at 80+MPH

Could be the tires. I used to have Bridgestone Duellers and my freelander went fine at 80mph. Since I've switched to Goodyear Wranger AT/R's there's significant more vibration at high speeds. That's the price you pay for better offroad capabilities... ;)

TD4 disc brakes on the L series Diesel

You're probably right. It is the caliper. But we've had this twice with different calipers, so I was guessing this is a common problem with these calipers. That's why I was wondering if I could replace the caliper and disc's with the one's from the TD4. As for dimentions I'd figure it could fit...

TD4 disc brakes on the L series Diesel

Hi, Probably a dumb question, but I'm pretty new on working on my own cars. I'm having problems with one of the disc brakes. One of them keeps getting stuck and is using up quite a number of pads. Every half year it's the same problem all over again. The first few time's I've had it fixed at a...
