I've had the same idea of upgrading to the post 2000 disk brakes. But they wouldn't fit my 16' rims and you'd need to replace the entire system (master cylinder etc) as well.

Could be the tires. I used to have Bridgestone Duellers and my freelander went fine at 80mph. Since I've switched to Goodyear Wranger AT/R's there's significant more vibration at high speeds. That's the price you pay for better offroad capabilities... ;)

You're probably right. It is the caliper. But we've had this twice with different calipers, so I was guessing this is a common problem with these calipers. That's why I was wondering if I could replace the caliper and disc's with the one's from the TD4. As for dimentions I'd figure it could fit...
