    Death wobble!?

Well folks, I'm at the point of :boom: Like I said, yesterday, after replacing the front brakes and the track rod went for a quick drive just to make sure everything was ok and I could feel the vibration coming in at around 100 kph. So this morning, got in the car for a 50 Km drive...

I feel your pain! Will do... If I ever get it sorted.

    Death wobble!?

I didn't try that on the prop shafts. Tomorrow I'll be sending the car for the wheel alignment again and I'll check it then. About the vibration, it's not like before. There's been improvement. Now it's constant regardless of the direction (as far I can tell) and at higher speed than before...

    Death wobble!?

Ok, here's a quick summary from start till now: Apart from the front tires starting to get worn out on the outside, the car was driving fine, no vibrations. I knew I had to replace the radius arm bushes as they were completely gone. Decided to go for the Britpart DC7107 poly bush kit and...

    Death wobble!?

Today I got the violent wobble again on a left turn at around 85 Kph. Not as violent as before but still... I'm going to try and replace the track rods this weekend and see what will happen. I just might do the front brakes as well.

    Death wobble!?

It fits. Worked for me as well (so far...). The only strange fact for me is: how was it possible to be driving with no rubber left on the bushes and everything was well, not even a slight vibration? And, how did the new bushes caused the wobble to appear?

    Death wobble!?

I didn't have a steering wobble, I had no bushes at all! The steering wobble came on after replacing the bushes... And I'm not saying the bushes are causing the wobble, I'm just giving my opinion that they are too hard and make the ride uncomfortable. That would be the only reason why I would...

    Death wobble!?

Update... New steering damper in place and that made quite a difference. The old one had no action at all! 50 Km done. No death wobble (so far) and very little vibration remaining. Steering is a lot more responsive and a lot less play than before the bushes were fitted and I get to feel every...

    Death wobble!?

Update... So, got the car back from the workshop. Couldn't have a look underneath yet, but driving has improved. I'll be checking underneath later on. No more death wobble so far (only drove 5 Km highway), but still there's a vibration. I would say the remaining of the vibration is down to...

    Death wobble!?

They do look like it... But the DC7107 kit is not supposed to have any shock bushes, according to the kit description. Also, at the workshop, they've fitted the rear radius bushes in the front radius to chassi. That can explain the wobble!

    Death wobble!?

I think I might have found the reason for my death wobble... But I need someone to confirm if the bush kit goes in the way I highlighted in the picture above. And what are the discs hilghlighted in green for?

    Death wobble!?

    Is this correct?

    Death wobble!?

Can anyone highlight in the image where each bush set goes on?

    Death wobble!?

In my case, the whole car shakes violently. The car wasn't out of alignment before and I've done the wheel alignment after the bush replacement. So, I think I can exclude that possibility... Swivel rods, ball joints and steering box... Can't say. What I can say is that after the bush...

    Death wobble!?

Can you describe where each part went where? Because I think the guys where I took the car in for replacement of the bushes got some of them wrongly fitted. Like the smaller rubber discs... They've fitted all four on the front shocks axle mounting. I'm not sure as well if the bushes for the...

    Death wobble!?

Yep, I read about it but only after having mine installed! If I can't fix this with anything else, for sure the bushes are the ones to blame.

    Death wobble!?

Got the Britpart DC7107 bush kit and replaced: - Front trailing arm bushes - Anti-roll bar bushes - Radius arm bushes - Shock absorber lower and upper mount (replaced by mistake) Wheel alignment and wheel balancing done after that. Still to replace: - Rear trailing arm bushes -...

    Death wobble!?

I agree, the swivel joints could be one of the causes. The front left bearing was replaced not long ago, because I though the humming noise was from the front left hub, not from the radius arms. It happened mainly when turning right on acceleration or on heavy load on the front left of the car...
