I had the same problem - Took the switch assembly apart and cleaned every thing and it works a treat now - One piece of advice if you do attempt it make sure you put the switch in a tub/tin/box before you take it apart because there will be springs and ball bearings everywhere, and don't panic...

I did the same -- I thought it was a case of buying a new switch assembly when I took mine apart springs,contacts and ball bearings everywhere but after I found that link hey presto job done - I did lose 1 ball though, but Mr magnet came to the rescue

I ground the nuts off and the bolts were still siezed in the arms and fulcrum casting . Had to put plenty of heat on them to remove them and had use a 8 foot scaff pole to wedge the arm against the axle from the chassis so I could hammer the bits out the arms .... RIGHT BITCH took me 2 days and...

Just did mine and it took 2 days - I sprayed the long bolts with penetrating spray for 2 weeks every other day and they would not budge - the ball joint nut was easy - In the end I had to grind through the actual fulcrum bracket ( luckily with a 5" lift its more accessible, still a bitch though)...
