Oh Buggar. Thats sounds like a bit of pain. Only just finished spending a day fixing my no start problem! (turned out to be break in one of the ECU loom wires) :doh:

Another update.. It wasn't the ECU plug, but a break in one of the wire in the loom going into the ECU plug. Took all day to find problem, then find the faulty wire. Now all fixed and running perfectly again.

Hmm connected a new battery and its turning over no problem. No start though. Sync didn't work... which number fuses/relays do I need to check? I have already checked some, but will go over them again..

Hi Which one is this? Would this cause it to turn over but not start?

LOL I'm sure its a great bit of kit, and it will live in the glove box, but on this occassion it wasn't the solution to my problem. Back to the drawing board :doh:

Hey Guys Got all excited when my Blackbox re-sync tool came today, but I'm afraid it didn't solve the problem...it showed that the ECU was already in sync! It has to be linked somehow to me removing the ECU and disconnecting the battery?? I charged it for quite a while yesterday...

Hey Guys My 1998 DSE is fitted with harmon kardon speakers and an aftermarket head unit. I can hear the subwoofer ''thud'' when I have the indicators on or flash the lights etc etc You can also hear the buzzing when the battery is on charge through the sub. Any ideas? Is this going to be...

Hey Guys I have only owned my P38 DSE for a few days. Don't know if you can help, but is it supposed to have a glow plug light? It shows an engine light so I need to do a fault check (just ordered tool) but no sign of glow plug light?

Ok, turns out the ECU plug was not sitting on the ECU correctly (tab on plug was already broken) I now have the engine light back on when ignition is switched on, however it still won't start :(

Actually. I just realised I am not getting engine light at all, even when I initially switch on the ignition....is this another side effect of the ECU being out of sync, or possibly another issue?

I'm interested in this, need one quick fast though... also, can it re-sync the ECU?
