Cheers, I thought that would be the case. I did have a search before posting but couldn't find anything definitive about 9x16s on a 90. I will leave it be then, just I saw a set of 9x16 wheels with tyres on eBay and wondered if it would be a quick an easy way to get a bit more clearance.

I'm currently running 7.5 x 16 on standard steel rims on my 90. Would I need to modify anything (and if so what) to run 9 x 16 ?

You can use chains. However they are heavy and a lot less forgiving on your chassis. They have their uses though eg for manual winching where you don't want any give as you would get with a rope.

I'd be interested in this, location and work permitting.

I'm keeping my eye out for a reasonably priced bulkhead for my '86 2.5 N/A 90. Ideally I'd like to get a galv one, but not sure if funds will permit. Basically the O/S Door pillar is as rotten as a pear and the N/S vent area has rust. It also looks like a repair has been done on the O/S...

Afternoon...... can anyone recommend a decent portable 12v compressor for tyre inflation? Looking to get one to keep in the 90, don't want to spend too much though.

I would have thought a more realistic figure would be about half what you were told you would get fer it. Maybe 3.5k on the bay. I'll raise you a dead badger, an empty can of WD40 a half eaten left twix and the neighbors cat.
