There is a loose plug on the passenger side of the block, is that where the vacuum pump goes, maybe the engine has been scavenged for a few bits?

Can you tell me where it's supposed to go from the EGR valve? I know it's somewhere on the drivers side of the engine but I cant see whereabouts, if anyone had a picture it'd help alot.

I hooked it up behind the engine in case it was meant to be keeping fluid somewhere, I'll leave it there so. Egr is not blanked off, can't figure out where the other end of the pipe is supposed to go. I've seen some pictures where it feeds off to the drivers side of the engine somewhere near...

Right I'm digging around in the engine bay of my 01 diesel. Found this disconnected pipe It goes into the gearbox tunnel on the right of the pic and it's fairly rigid. I haven't been under the car yet to see where it goes but I can't see anywhere near it that it might connect to. there's...

I'll try that tomorrow, thanks. Going through the guide on here, I definitely have no continuity between that orange wire and the ground pin.

P38A SRS problems, and unusual box...

Evening all, Just started looking at some of the gremlins on my '01 2.5 diesel. After reading a few threads on here I'm fairly sure that one of the problems with the EAS is the thermal cut off switch, no continuity between the Orange wire and ground, I'll have a better look to see how to...

Had a look on there the evening i brought it home. Apart from the fact that i would quite happily wrung the neck of whoever had it before me, incorrect rated fuses in some slots 25a instead of 40a a 30a maxi fuse instead of a 50a!!!, the fuse box itself looks ok. I haven't dug too much into it...

Can't do that I'm afraid - nothing electrical inside the cabin works, windows, sunroof, seat, heater controls nothing. radio comes on but needs a code and I don't have the manual for it.

I had that bought before I found out about this site - if it doesn't work I'll definitely give you a shout. The compressor was already changed, "97 range rover" written in tippex on it - but that doesn't mean it's any good. I've the rebuild kit ordered too. whats the recommended pressure to...

That's great thanks. New to owning this type of suspension, didn't want to damage it by leaving it in a position that it shouldn't be in for too long.

I plan on leaving it parked for a few weeks to sort out all the electrical problems. i was just wondering whether it was better to deflate the bags, leave them full or partially full?

New owner here. Just recently picked up my first Range Rover, 2001 2.5d, thing pulls like a train!!!! Electrics are a whole other question or series of them that I'll be asking here :), the dash is lit up like a christmas tree, every telltale light is on!. First question I have though is that...

Afternoon all, Just got myself a 2001 2.5D HSE yesterday evening and looking forward to using it. It's really built for a man of my stature! The engine and box pull like a train but there is a load of electrical problems with it and I know that I'll be looking for a lot of advice over the...
