Will a new paint job up the insurance? What else can you think of (apart from engine) effects insurance for young drivers?

I'm doing a ground up restoration anyway so all the bodywork is coming off anyway and I will most likely get a body shop to spray the panels, but what is more valuable... An original blue paintwork or a shiney new green one ?

Which do you think is worth more? The lightweight because of rarity of a good Chassis?

Would it affect the insurance? I didn't know you had to declare a chassis swap?

The reason I was thinking of this is because I have a S3 and the chassis is rotten but my friend has a lightweight galvanised chassis (chassis only no body parts) for sale and he said he'd sell me it for £300 my S3 needs a new chassis anyway so I thought I might save myself a few quid?
