just thought id update this thread as thought and suggested by you very helpfull people on the forum it was the slave cylinder. bought a new one, fitted it and all is good so far thanks for the help people

thanks for the pic mate but the one that came off the disco i have, looks different to what you have pictured. is that a defender filter? the disco filter has only 2 outlets but the defender filter has 4 outlets. im pretty sure i need to use the disco one but im not entirly sure how to...

not sure what model the snorkel is to be honest. and its a defender 90 2.5 "g" (not tdi ect)

thank you wiltshire landyman another question, do i have to do anything to any of the other pipe work under the bonnet ? or just mount snorkel on the outside as above and off i go. newbie questions i no but you have to learn somehow
