as far as routing them back to the tank goes this wont work,they need to be vented to the open air as any back pressure will prevent the chambers from working properly ;ie the needles from cutting the fuel flow off.....put a lemonade bottle on the tap seal the join try filling it you will only...

HI james i run a classic rr +perkins engine ,no provision vacuum take off so i fitted an alternator with vac pump on rear,i believe its of a nissan bluebird diesel but not sure!!!!! however ive been told ford transits are fitted with an alternator +vac pump ,so keep your eyes peeled mate mine...
