2a boxes have no syncromesh on second gear so they will grind and clash if you dont double declutch going up and down the box,also dont use your overdrive in first and second gear cos theres to much torque in the lower gears for the overdrive you will induce premature wear at the least or it...

look through the grill use a torch,you should be able to see the arm that the bonnet release cable fastens to ,big screwdriver on that,push it to one side and bingo,that didnt hurt did it ......best of luck....dave

i dont think you can do that pos,i remember when my fan belt snapped;ie no power steering it was near on impossible to steer,you needed a 3ft steering wheel of a matador ffs,sorry mate i think your out of luck....dave
