It's the air bags, I would bet my disco on it!!!!! ( not) Like the rest are saying, soapy water will find it. Oh and their a piece of **** to change

Yeah Dunlop on mine too. Going strong & only time will tell + I liked the price better too.

If you turn key to heater plug and crank over as soon as the heater light extinguishes, there will be no chimes. If you turn the key and wait for the heater plug & the rest of the dash lights to extinguish, it chimes 3 times to tell the driver a system check has been completed, and all is well. :)

Could be clutch slave. Have you checked fluid level in reservoir.

Could be the inlet manifold gasket. I had this replaced on mine and it sorted the screech. I don't suppose the head come off at some point before this started to screech?

As above really, keep the service up to scratch & drive it. Their an awesome engine, mines got 160,000 and still going strong. Ok changed the injector harness & fuel pressure regulator once due to failure. Keep an eye on your plastic coolant return pipes on your expansion tank they chaff on one...

Hi all, I need to change the airbags on my disco, I have been having a butchers on e-bay and there is a choice of oem contitecs @ £240 a pair or oem dunlops @ £180 a pair. Is there a difference at all because there is in the price & their both from the same seller. Any advice will be welcomed...

I seen in lro that a fella put a tdv6 engine in a defender from a disco 3 so my guess it's very doable, as long as you know what your doing. If not then it would be very very costly like Wiltshire landyman said.
