Hello again, in an effort to educate myself I am reading up on my series 3 wiring. Looking at this diagram, am I right in saying the positive side of the ignition coil is not fused?

Thanks Col, I managed to speak to my brother this morning who told me the very same thing..... a wee toggle switch in the +wire from ignition to Coil. Thanks again.

Wow, all this is making me think that you grand people, have seriously thought about this. Food for thought indeed. But..... if I do the switch thing, does the coil thing work? If so, + or - wire?

Yup, I read a lot of people recommending this. But frankly, can’t be arsed. I would dearly like just a deterrent for the amateur crook, not a determined one with in depth knowledge of old battered land rovers.

Hi Flossy, Thanks for that. I have got an older steering wheel lock thing but nowhere near as good as new ones. Do you not think a non starting Landrover would put off an opportunistic thief? I ask, cause I rarely lock it...... keys are fiddly.
