    Cooper Discoverer STT Review

I have had them fitted for about a year now on the 90 and I agree with all said they are epic on and off road.. Only I have not had the mileage out of them.. BF mud terrains lasted a lot longer I have put about 12,000 miles on them and they don't have much life left in them now.. Just my 2 pence :)

    Bought a classic :D

Sounds like a plan, don't want electric though I know the p38 are all electric so hopefully some of the disco td5 ones arent otherwise old disco or rangey it will have to be.. Worst case I will just get seat covers or something I just can't stand the old grey fabric in mine it makes the inside...

    Bought a classic :D

Hmmmm, you can pick them up online but at about £200 it's too much, I will stick it on the roof rack if I have to! Got a few pics of it with my mates disco and my 90; IMG_1900 by t4bby1, on Flickr IMG_1911 by t4bby1, on Flickr

    Bought a classic :D

Yeah Rangey ones would be preferred, I will have a look must be able to lower the seat box somehow just by a inch so my head doesn't touch the roof! LPG is the probably the route I will take, yes it has a new stainless steel 90 litre fuel tank, and LPG tanks will have to be underslung ones as I...

    Bought a classic :D

Oh, also forgot to ask if anyone has lowered the height of the seats beyond their lowest setting? Struggling a bit for headroom in the Rangey! Also would like to fit some nice leather seats in the front and rear, are D1 seats a straight swap or any ideas where I can buy some nice ones?

    Bought a classic :D

Mornin all, Well.. My 90 was getting lonely so I went a got a classic, I have wanted one since a child I absolutely love it :) It's a 1989 3.5 EFI Vouge, in Colorado Silver - Never seen another in this colour I think it looks good though. Pics at the weekend when I can take them in daylight...

Well I am going to go against the grain :p two electric fans, gives you staged cooling (1 on at temp x and 2nd one on at temp y) and when you need it can push through a much greater volume of air than a viscous and you have a backup and when you are home you get the benefits of the engine...

    Morocco April 2014

For the ferry, go to the super market next to McDonalds in Algeciras there is a small office where the bloke will do you discount rates he speaks good English and will talk you through the whole process.. People were paying about 200 euro return to get to Morocco and we paid 50 :)

    Do you trust your snorkel!?

Yeah I have thought about it but it doesn't sound like it will be good for the car! As mentioned above it's there if I need it but i'm not going to go out wading deep stuff just because I have it.. Stopped all the dust and sand being sucked up in Morocco too :)

    Do you trust your snorkel!?

I am still scared to drive through deep water, I am 99.99% sure I did a proper job but the only way you will find out is when you conk out in a river :p

    Morocco April 2014

Should add that the return journey was made significantly cheaper by ramming the car with about 4 jerry cans and two fuel tanks worth of cheap Moroccan fuel which took us all the way into France! I suggest you do the same :)

    Morocco April 2014

I will try and dig out the costs if you want, I have all the fuel and toll receipts for the drive from Algeciras in Spain to Calais.. I really liked the drive back, it depends IMO if you the time to enjoy it or not, driving 16 hours a day to rush back wont be fun but we saw some nice places...

The other advantage of electric is that I could leave it running while we were stopped to further cool the engine before we set off again :)

I ran a electric fan for Morocco and had no problems with overheating in 30 degree heat using low range :) Glenn who left his viscous in had problems when it packed up, 5 minutes driving 10 minutes stopped to let it cool and so on :p:rolleyes:

    Driving to the Arctic Circle?

Depending on when you go it is a legal requirement to have proper winter tyres and/or snow chains.. I am planning something for next year, through Belgium, Denmark, Sweden up to Nordkapp in Norway then down into Finland, Russia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Czech Republic and Germany then...

Bump's and Mark L's Morocco Tour Oct 2013 thread (as it happens)

True that! Maybe just jot down on a pad the most memorable parts of the day and the times as they happen so you can go back and find it at the end of the trip..

    My secret Santa

I know who it was because she's the only one who demanded to have copies of all the pics and after a few drinks it all came out anyway ;) :p But yeah, she's married unfortunately otherwise I would have got on one knee there and then! :D Just need to think of a way to rig secret Santa so I get...
