    Collected my new overland vehicle

Recaro seats and a momo steering wheel fitted in the snow - comfort is essential in a overland vehicle.. Well it is for me anyway after a month in Morocco in my 90 destroyed my back!

    Collected my new overland vehicle

That is the plan  Will be doing some prep work to the vehicle - auxiliary fuel tank and water tank, hardtop canopy on the back, full length roof rack, roof tent, awning and a steering guard. I'll document everything here. First major run will be a month around Spain and Portugal in...

    Expedition advice.

Also to chime in, when I first went to Morocco in my 300tdi 90 I bolted every mod imaginable onto it. Now I am older and (a little bit) wiser, this year I am going back in a 2.2 puma 130 and the only mods I will be making are better seats and a better stereo :) a standard defender is a immensely...

    Classic No headlights :(

Sorry for the late reply, I'm in wales on the coast and can only get signal if I do a half hour walk up the hill! The 7.5 amp fuses are all fine - starting to think it could be the dim-dip unit as well. I'll leave it for now, will just have to stick to daytime driving and take a proper look...

    Classic No headlights :(

My 1986 RRC has lost both headlights, all other lights work fine including full beam. Checked bulbs and fuses in the dash all OK. Any ideas please?! My 90 has a fuse box under the bonnet but can't see anything for the rangey. Cheers Guy

    No lights in Plymouth

300tdi 90, we are on the B3240 in Plymouth town centre, Princess Street junction. Fuses all look fine but maybe fuse board has melted or something, not sure how to tell :( Called AA, no one in the area so hey won't be here until 10pm. Thanks very much for all the replies lads, was initially...

    No lights in Plymouth

Hey All, We are stuck in Plymouth in the 90 (supposed to be taking the ferry in half an hour to Spain) we have lost main lights, side lights, brake lights and reverse lights. Any ideas anyone?! My first thought was light switch but could this affect the brake and reverse lights as well...

    electric fans vs viscous?

Haven't had any problems with either, but when I went to Morocco I had a electric fan fitted and it was nice to be able to turn the engine off but leave the fan running during short stops in the day, I'm sure it helped, and although that was a 300tdi I was driving it hard in low range 2nd in 30+...

    Classic Two piece waist seal

I haven't - I've got a few 'RR specialists' looking for me though, I think I will try and modify the one piece with a rubber strip on top and try and get them the same o_O Maybe I should just settle for the one piece, been looking at old pics I took at different LR shows and all the restored...
