I use Trailwise (a Google Map with UK greenlanes on), though it can be a tad buggy on the iPhone (routes are loaded via Javascript - the more there are, the slower it becomes). I do wish there was an app available to purchase though.

Unfortunately, there is no 100% rule in protecting your Landy, as the old saying goes, if they want to take, they'll take it. Your best bet is to use lot's of protection - GPS trackers, Alarms, Posts on Drive, Dogs, Cameras, Locks on Clutch, Gears, Steerings wheels the lot. The more the better...

Plus 1 for TD5, yes ok, you can't fix it with a lump hammer but it's not bad on juice (30MPG) and highly tunable :D :doh::blabla::rolleyes:

If you do, make sure it covers the pedal stalks as much as possible, West Yorkshire police have had some thieves just saw off the pedals and drive away on the stubs. Suppose there's not much demand for pedals / stalks, and it's a quick get around.

If you take your time and use plenty of applicator fluid (ie washing up liquid and water) it's easy. Takes about 15 minutes a window and costs about £30 for a car.

The worst thing is, if someone breaks into your Land Rover and you clobber them over the head (quite rightly) and the courts judge you used inappropriate force, you can get into trouble. How :mad:? Surely, anyone breaking into someone else's property forfeits their human rights at that point...
