Windscreen all fixed - Hooray! Early morning start to fit the rear diff guard, give it a quick cleanout, then off Greenlaning!

Got a crack in the windscreen, went to get it replaced today and this was what we found :( Not too major but having to get it fixed today and tomorrow - HOPEFULLY will be ready for Saturdays trip, which Mrs E and I are looking forward to!

Off topic: Can someone help me understand a few intricacies of taxing and MOTing in terms of dates. My Tax expires 30 Nov and MOT 6 Dec. If I understand correctly for tax I can buy up to a month in advance, but renewal date remains the same (so if I buy 12 months it will expire 30 Nov 2014)...

I'll check with Mrs E on dates/diary. We'd be really keen to come out again, but will probably need to confirm a bit closer to the time. Happy if it's the same/similar lanes, the worst thing from the last trip was "zipping" through the villages without much chance to take them in or take a few...

Begger! Did the same on mine - the front diff has a guard but the rear hasn't been fitted yet (waiting to get the right bolts). They are worth their weight in gold I reckon! Luckily here too no harm done. By next time I'll have both diff guards and tank guard. And then slightly later new...

Got the snorkel fitted today - unfortunately though twas a case of 1 step forward, 2 steps backwards. Taking the plastic inner guard off, bits of the inner wing came out with the plastic bungs :-(

I'm feeling brave. Mrs E says...she'll get back to you approx Sat lunchtime on that! Don't go too easy on my account - we can always skip a lane and meet you at the other end, or back out etc... The Avon's aren't THAT bad - they're very road-biased to be sure, but they got us around some...
