Yeah I can't remember either!!!:eek::eek: Sorry John!! (it was a number of weeks ago now) I'm not sure if we can make saturday for the pub - we're doing the guts of our house move on Saturday and I think Mrs E will want to stay in Sat night - will check though. Am planning to get...

Btw nrg (and/or others) - do you have a recommendation for a place to do tyre fitting and tracking (?? call it wheel alignment back home) somewhere between your place and keighley?

No, a cafa-teen addict, like someone I met today... :p Think Friday will call for something stronger though :beer2:

Too late sorry!! Spent a few hours today down at the workshop today with now-there's-a-legend Neil - have new UJs in the front prop and Disco Harry's back on the road! :D But you're welcome to climb under anyway - who knows what you'll find... (some more oil leaks probably!)

No way - You should have seen this one on Fleet Street in London-town that we went to!! :D In all seriousness, I would have said it's small but not tiny - haven't been on a Friday so don't know how crowded it is. The Acorn is about the same, and the Junction doesn't look any bigger either...

Ok two good pubs we've been to recently: 1. The Hermit on the cow and calf road - the landlord's a top bloke and great atmosphere 2. The Acorn in Eldwick - the biggest advantage here is heaps of parking space. The Hermit would be my pick - Mrs E and I are keen to head back there

Help me confirm lift pump failure...

Oh sorry for the confusion - it is running again - has been since I had a 2nd go on Sunday. It's just the lack of power that I'm investigating now. I think it's still possible the lift pump is dodgy - I've read that it'll still run even with a dodgy pump - In terms of tracking down the lost...

Help me confirm lift pump failure...

Ok update this morning. I went out and turned the crank manually slightly and tried the lift pump lever again - this time I had pressure and was bringing fuel out of the bleed screw. Possibly unfortunate co-incidence of it resting on the cam first two times?? Anyway, I won't replace it...

Where abouts? If you're looking for pub ideas I have one. The Junction has been mentioned before - I don't know anything about it except there's no parking there or nearby that I've seen.

Help me confirm lift pump failure...

Nope proper diesel. I've read not to buy the cheapies - the better ones are about £25+vat Filter has been recently changed, along with sedimenter cleaned. I'll go ahead and get the lift pump. Fingers crossed....

Help me confirm lift pump failure...

Hi to all, Just a quicky - this morning Harry our disco fired then stopped (never done that before), then wouldn't fire again. After a few more attempts I tried the lift pump priming lever, and hello, there was no resistance whatsoever when operating it. Cranked the engine a tad to make...

    Drop-link bushes - confused!

Bushes fitted today, very easy indeed :o not sure why I thought it would be harder than it was - I guess thinking back I've never done anything at all suspension related, despite doing lots of other things engine-related/mechanical
