    Headlight Refurb

Hi, I decided to use a restoration kit (link below). It includes a bottle of fine cutting compound and a few applicator pads. so elbow grease is required or a DA police, which I used. If your headlights are really bad I would suggest you probably need a slightly coarser compound (or 1200 wet n...

    Headlight Refurb

Hi Arctic, Seems like MG ZT's and freelanders make a good pair. No, didn't remove the bumper, just masked it and used a Meguires rest pack, mild abrasive and a coating, (used it on the MG) Clutch job on Saturday.. Cheers

Freelander 1 Clutch master cylinder failure.

That's what I'll be doing over the weekend. It seems to be a common problem. At first I thought the release bearing was going.

Freelander 1 Clutch master cylinder failure.

Been having problems getting into gear for a while. On inspection the piston had a lot of movement at the bracket, so thought I'd change it this coming Saturday. While out today, total failure clutch pedal to the floor. After looking under the car I found that the piston had fractured. From the...

    Rear lights

That's the way they were made, I've always thought it odd to just have the rear lights in the bumper, it just doesn't seem adequate. Here is a quote from another forum; "fully legal & correct, upper lights are Reverse & Rear fog, brake, tail, indicators in rear bumper so they are all...

    Police a came a knocking....

Just before Xmas our house was broken into, trying to get the keys to my Z4 even though the front of the drive has bollards. The police caught the $@*%&**@'s (insert the expletive of your choice). They will be sentenced in March after spending a few months locked up. The police said they had...

    Crazzzzy !!!!!

'' but the big thing is a small bag could get lost, a medium sized box is harder to misplace.'' The item was sent recorded. You mean to tell me that a jiffy sent via the same method is more likely to be lost, sorry don't make sense. Also it's a damn site cheaper. Some but not all see charging...

    Crazzzzy !!!!!

quick delivery time granted but to ship a 94g locking wheel nut key in a box the size of a microwave is plain stupid at best. I would have thought a jiffy bag would have done the job. Won't be using them again. :violent: I'll leave it there before I start ranting.................

    Stretch bolts

have a read of this, http://www.partinfo.co.uk/files/SB2165%20-%20CYLINDER%20HEAD%20STRETCH%20BOLTS.pdf I've replaced the hg on my freelancer and never considered not using new stretch bolts. So for around £20 - £40 is it worth the risk.

    Tyre choice ?

I'm about to replace the tyres on my freelander and I've pretty much decided on Bridgestone AT D694 215/65R16 after doing a bit of research. Regards

    Hi Folks

Hi folks, I’ve been reading the forum on and off for a while, so thought it’s about time I joined in. I bought a new Freelander 1.8 in 2004 and it has just passed its latest MOT and has covered just shy of 58,000 miles. All things considered, I’ve enjoyed ownership over the last 10 years...
