    If it goes into the red immediately you switch on the ignition - before you start the motor - then you need a new sender If it warms up normally but just keeps rising then it is just a resistance issue - I had same problem again, though you need a new sender - you need the very early range...

    / H180 gives 20 bhp and 20lbs/ft of torque over standard with much better throttle response - so about 10%. I had one in my 3.9 auto discovery and it was lovely lovely lovely.
