Might have taken Morton Ford a bit quick...

At some times of the year, although the bottom is quite shingley and I wouldn't fancy trying it as there are often holes in there cause by eddies. I've also seen it up to the height of the footbridge and you wouldn't want to drive anything short of a Unimog through it then..!

Might have taken Morton Ford a bit quick...

That's got to be an advantage of the ol' oil bath; water has got a long way to travel before it can gets into the enjun. Most would have stayed down in the oil. Funny thing was that I really wasn't going that fast when I went across and it wasn't that deep.

Might have taken Morton Ford a bit quick...

I took Itchy down to Morton Ford in the week. I was a bit keen to wash all the brake fluid off the hubs but might have been a bit too quick on my crossing... Did a bit of service yesterday and look what I found in the oil bath.

    Fairey Overdrive on eBlag

I got this as part of a job lot of parts and have no need for it. It came from a trusted source and he said that he thinks it's all good... Bare unit only, no linkages and the like. On ebay as I'm not sure what it is worth without the linkages. Feel free to make me an offer though. It's HERE...

You clean your bottom with a stick, do you BB? I prefer a bit of petril and an old toothbrush myself!

    Itchy's brake issues part two

I wish I read this before (in a fit of peak) I took the MC out, again. Refitted the Bearmach one (which I thought was shot but isn't), bled it and adjusted it and all fine now.

    Itchy's brake issues part two

Well, the system is still pressurising. I've screwed the adjusters on the master cylinder out as far as they will go (right to the end of the thread) and the system still pressurises after four or five applications of the brakes. If I release the pressure through any one of the bleed nipples...

Oil bath air filter help please

There is holes between the inner and outer so if you fill the outer it'll run through to the inner and visa versa. Fill up to the ridge / holes.

    Battery tray fitting

Yeah, the studding goes through threaded holes in the tray so the metal strip goes across the middle of the battery. I coulda modded it but I preferred the leather belt option! Yeah, and the holes in the YRM one are just too close to the end so the nuts are right up tight to the angle under...

    Battery tray fitting

So, one of the (few) things that Itchy failed the MOT on was the battery not being secure. Rather than heath robinson some kind of contraption in place I decided to invest in a rather nice battery tray from YRM - not cheap but saved me loadsa time I don't have. So, got the tray in with very...

    Itchy's brake issues part two

Yep. I think the issue was bleeding the brakes whilst the system was pressurised and too much adjustment on the master cylinder. I've slacked off the master cylinder by a couple of turns and let out some brake fluid from the NSR bleed nipple. It'll need an extended road test to find out if it's...
