    Intermittent power loss, any ideas?

another option is that it could be the mass air flow sensor, I had this problem on my 2001 Td4 freelander. lack of power etc. I imagine this could well be the problem if you can rule out the other suggestions mentioned above

    V8 Series - Blair Athol

I spotted an absolutely amazing looking Series 3 V8 SWB today whilst at the Blair Athol Industrial Estate. The sound of the V8 was fantastic! It was a bright red hardtop, had a full width windscreen and was towing a large trailer! I'm hoping Beneagles will know who owns it!!! I was extremely...

wolf rims on series 3 88"

.....although the military are now starting to fit Blindo alloys instead of the wolf rims on the WMIK variants as they are even stronger than the wolf rims! The Blindo's are good looking wheels, but way too modern for a series truck!

Do you sleep in your Landy?

Whilst on route to Fort William in December 2006 in my series 3 88 hardtop and constantly breaking down myself and my brother decided to park up for the night in a large view point layby on the A82. I slept across the "deluxe" front seats inside a sleeping bag whilst wearing my army issue...

    Barking up the wrong tree?

In theory you could convert your 109 pick up into a Station Wagon, but it will involve a hell of alot of work. You would need to cut the rear tub or find a decent SW one, fit extra outriggers on the chassis etc. And you would need to source all the parts to do it. It would probably be more...

    First Land Rover restoration

Hi Matt and welcome! Very jealous that you can afford to go down the galvanised chassis/bulkhead route on your rebuild! Would be great to see some photos of the rebuild in progress. I hope to do the same thing as you once i eventually find somewhere to do it and the money to do it!

    First landy

This legislation does not count the drivers seat as part of the 8 seats. We have several VW transporter vans at work with 2 front passenger seats, 2 rear passenger seats and a secure prisoner cage that hold 4 persons (counts as 4 seats) and we can drive this vehicle on a standard cat B...

    Series Landrover shall I buy?

Go over every inch of the chassis with a hammer and check for rust - pay particular attention to the rear cross member, front dumb irons, bulkhead outriggers and around the spring hanger mounts. Also give the bulkhead a good going over. Get the engine running and try moving it. If all is...

    police forum for stolen landys..

Been a member of that forum for almost 2 years. Its not the best place for posting things like stolen vehicles etc, as its more aimed at police officers/aspiring police officers and for discussing day to day police issues/news. It is worth a try, but single issue posters tend to get excluded...

    defender covert to commercial

take the back seats out of it, blank off the rear windows, keep the windows in the rear passenger doors and you have your "commercial" 110 with the option of returning it to standard. rear passenger doors will give you easier access to your gear and will also give you options for installing...

    Specialists and bulkhead swaps

If you are able to fit the bulkhead yourself, Ashtree Landrover International do refurbished Galvanised bulkheads, but it is quite pricey - £900 for a series 3 one. have a look at their website: Ashtree landrover they are a fairly newish company and got a good write up in one of the landrover...

Sweet! Out of interest what sort of money will you be looking at for the 110? 1963 Series 2 sounds good. I'd love to do another project Series 3, but I no longer have mum and dad's garage and massive garden (stores area) to utilise anymore! Gav

Is your 110 station wagon the one that was sitting at the Blair Atholl Industrial site a couple of months ago? If so, I was having a good nose about it whilst I was at Sitech with my younger brother doing some work on his Mk 3 Fiesta. Gav
