Possible cracked piston? oil just going straight out the exhaust? run your finger round the rim of the exhaust and see if theres any oil.

Obviously the switches are not for ejector seats!

Hurrah!, decided to have a look at the ecu before pulling of door cards, so followed instructions on another site to get to the ecu behind the glovebox. Took me a good ten mins to pull off the bottom clip (wimp!) got to the ecu and realised i could only take it out by undoing another 2 bolts...

Seems a good enough deal, i payed 2k for a 96 (P) in good condition wi a few dings about it. As said have a look on ebay or autotraders web site, that'll give you a fair idea of what's going for the money.

Hi wonder if any one can help. 96 Disco 300tdi, the electric windows in the rear do not open using the controls on the rear doors but they open fine from the centre consol. Also the rear electric sunroof wont open from front or rear controls just appears dead! All fuses are fine. Wondering if...
