    Its clear as far as i can tell, think the brown tinge is dirt. Should be fairly clean though as the box was changed less than 5000 miles ago. Am i right in thinking atf is red?

    Just checked my gearbox oil and its slightly low. Am i right in thinking that the oil is MTF-94 to top it up with? Its a 200tdi box, i think it is an LT77, with the reverse at the top left, is that correct? many thanks

    Thats great, thanks for the help. If i connect the winch with a jump pack or leads, do i need to connect to earth and power input and still use the remote to control? or just to power input and a control direction?

    Hi there, put a post on here a while back about my winch, having tried all of the ideas i thought i would give it one final shot. I have power reaching the remote socket and the winch, however nothing happens when i use the remote, no winding in or out. All of the cables are connected ok etc...

    still NO winch!

    Yeah its not exactly down the road. haha. i have a reading from the socket to which the remote connects of 12.6volts so the remote is getting power, also have tested the remote and that works?? thanks again for the help

    still NO winch!

    Finally ordered myself a voltmeter to try and sort my winch. Nothing still. there is power getting to the remote control socket, checked all my connections and switch on remote, fine, but still no power going to the winch. How do i go about checking the solenoids? any other ideas? many thanks, ali
